Baby Update
So I had a follow up visit with my Dr today. Everything is just fine. Apparently I have an irritable uterus, which makes sense because the rest of me is pretty irritable as well. The doc also said that I don't have to be on bed rest and that if the baby decides to come that they won't do anything to stop her because she is far enough along! This is great news. Here is to hoping I get an early Christmas present!

Hospitals Suck
We took another lovely trip to the hospital this morning. I woke up at 4:15am with some painful cramping in my back and lower belly. I called my Doc and they told me to go to Labor and Delivery. Aaron and I got dressed and headed on in. They hooked me and baby up to monitors and watched my contractions. After a few hours they decided a dose of terbutaline was in order to stop the contractions. They gave me a shot, which made me shake and made my heart race but it stopped the contractions. I am now stuck on bed rest for the rest of the weekend until I can talk to my Dr on Monday.
I know I haven't posted any pictures of the giant belly yet but I will soon. Aaron and I had a great photo shoot with Kate Moss from peekaboo photos and we should have the pictures back in a few weeks. She is also going to take newborn pictures once this baby makes her long awaited debut.

Nursery Pics
Here are some updated pictures of the nursery. I have a few blankets left to tie and a few odds and ends to get ready but I think we are prepared for her arrival!
I am planning on switching out these red and black bins for pink and green ones. We needed to get her room organized and the red and black were the ones I had on hand.

Ta Da!
The bathroom is pretty much done! There are a few odds and ends but for the most part it is complete. I love it!
This is one of the coolest features of the new bathroom. The mirror is a two-way mirror and what you are seeing is the TV that is behind the mirror. Aaron knows I love to watch the news in the mornings while I am getting ready so he came up with this awesome design. Thanks again to all the family and friends that helped us get to this point!

Progress
Thanks to my Dad and my sister we have made some progress on the basement! Aaron has been working so hard to get everything done before the baby comes but it is too much work for 1 person. My Dad and sister came to the rescue and the three of them got the entire bathroom grouted. It was a ton of work and it took them all day but it looks amazing. Aaron and I are planning on working all weekend to get the rest of the work in the bathroom done (not that I am much help). Anyway, thanks Dad, thanks Britt! We appreciate your help so much.
Big Week
We have had a busy week around here! On Saturday my wonderful sister, amazing friend Brandey and Brandey's amazing mom Cindey threw me an awesome baby shower. This little girl got so much stuff, she will be so spoiled.
We had great food:
It was so nice to see friends and family that I have not seen in a long time:
I wish I would have gotten more pictures of everyone that came. I think I was a bit distracted by all the chatting, eating, and present opening.
There were lots of kids running around which was one of the best parts for me. My sister drove all the way from Idaho with her two youngest Brooklyn and Sam. It was so good to spend some time with them but they are growing up too fast and it makes me sad.
I have to highlight this beautiful sweater. I wish I had talent and patience like this. My friend Shay knitted this sweater and the one above that her beautiful daughter is wearing.
I am so grateful for so much love and support for this little one. People never cease to amaze me with their generosity. Thank you everyone!

Help me out please
Aaron and I are in a food rut. We can never decide on what to have for dinner. We usually end up grabbing some unhealthy fast food. Please give me some good dinner ideas so we can stay home and eat! Thanks!

Update
I know I haven't posted anything for a while and that is because there really isn't anything exciting going on. I had a Dr. appt yesterday and I am measuring right at 30 weeks. The baby's heartbeat sounds great and she is doing well. I can't believe I only have 2 1/2 months left. We are getting really excited for her to be here. I am finally feeling better. I am only throwing up about once a week now which is a huge improvement! I have more energy and things have been a bit easier. That's all that is happening here.

Look how cute I am!
We went back to Fetal Fotos today to double check that we do indeed have a little girl and to try and get some 3D images. The top picture is a little hard to see but it is her profile with 1 leg stretched out in front of her face. She has some looooong legs, just like her daddy. The bottom picture is a 3D image of her beautiful little face. I will try and post some more of the pictures later. We have a picture of it now but I won't post it as it is really hard to tell what you are looking at but we 100% have a little girl!

Baby Kicks
The last few weeks have been really fun because the baby has been moving like crazy. Almost every morning on my way to work she will give me a little nudge and we have our morning conversation. Although I know its not true I like to think that when she kicks me she is telling me hello and reminding me that she is there. The day after my birthday Aaron got to feel her kick for the first time. Usually as soon as he puts his hand on my belly she stops moving but that day I was laying in the basement sick as a dog and she started kicking. I yelled for Aaron to come down and he came down and put his hand on my belly. She gave him four good kicks. I will remember that moment forever. It was so fun to finally be able to share this amazing little feeling with him. So far she hasn't kicked for anyone but Daddy and Marley (she kicked Marley when he laid his head on my belly the other day). I am looking forward to seeing how her movements change as we get closer to D-day.

Daily Battle
As I have complained numerous times on this blog, I am having a really hard time with this pregnancy thing. I am so excited to meet our daughter but it hasn't been easy for me. The morning sickness started right at week 4. I found out I was pregnant on a Thursday and started throwing up on Sunday. I should have been prepared, my sister was pretty sick with 2 of her pregnancies and my mom was sick with all three of us. I have pretty much gotten used to the puking (if you can ever really get used to it). I worry about my teeth but hopefully the dentist can help me out after she is born. I think one of my biggest frustrations is my daily battle with food. It is so hard for me to find something to eat. If I don't eat, I am sick, if I do eat I am sick but not as bad. Poor Aaron has had to endure countless battles of what are we going to eat today? I don't know how he survives living with me. There have been lots of tears and Aaron has to just laugh because it is pretty pathetic that I cry because I don't know what to eat. I am looking forward to the day that food sounds and tastes good again. I am hoping I will one day be able to look at saltines again without feeling my stomach turn. We have about 4 months to go and it is encouraging that I have made it more than halfway. I am pretty lucky, I have been pretty healthy and our baby is healthy. That is all that really matters, that she is healthy and happy. We are still waiting for Aaron to be able to feel her kick, I think it will be soon as I am getting bigger every day. Thanks for listening to me complain!

Failed Miserably
This would be me completely failing at helping Aaron. He ended up doing 99.99% of the work on the nursery while I stood around holding a paint roller and attempting to be helpful. The room looks so cute. Aaron did such a good job. We only have a few more things to do in there and then the paint will be done. I will post pictures once we get the carpet in and finally buy a crib. I am having such issues about buying a crib. I don't know why, I just can't make a decision and stick to it. Anyway, I will post pictures soon.

Nursery today!
We are painting the nursery today! I am so excited. W emptied out the room and ripped up the carpet last night. We are replacing the carpet when we lay carpet in the basement. We are painting pink, brown and green. I don't know how much help I will be but I am going to try my best not to let Aaron do all the work! He is so amazing. He keeps the house from falling apart. He had carpal tunnel surgery just 3 weeks ago and he hasn't even let it slow him down. He has been working like crazy to finish the basement, he cleaned out the garage, and he keeps me sane. Thanks babe. I will post some pictures when we finish!

The Mother Load
While in Idaho this weekend Brittney let us go through all of Brooklyn's old clothes. I like to call it hitting the motherload! This child will have so many clothes she won't be able to wear them all more than once. Most of the clothes look brand new. Brooklyn grew so fast she barely wore them. We are so grateful that she was willing to let us have them all. Thanks Britt!
Are you ready for some football?
Anna and Ammie
While visiting my sister and her family this weekend we spent lots of time with our niece Brooklyn. She has always loved Aaron. They have such a fun relationship. She calls Aaron "Anna" and she calls me "Ammie". All weekend long Anna and Brooklyn played. First thing in the morning she would come down to see him. Aaron misses her and hopes we can see her soon.
Fun Weekend

We have a new nephew!
My sister had her baby today! He was born around 10 this morning and he was just a little over 8 pounds, her biggest baby ever. He is doing well and so is his mommy. His brothers and sister were thrilled to meet him. Little Brooklyn wanted to bring him home from the hospital today. We can't wait to meet the little guy.

Nachos!
I haven't had many pregnancy cravings. For the most part nothing sounds good, ever. There is one thing that I crave every now and then and it is pretty powerful. I crave gas station nachos. They give me heart burn but when I want them I have to have them. It is pretty disgusting if you think about it.

Another Hospital Visit....Yuck
I hate the hospital. I don't know how people ever recover in there. I went to the ER the other night because I had been getting dizzy and feeling my heart skip a few beats here and there and then race a bit. I called my OB's office and they suggested I go to the ER. I spent 4 hours in the ER most of them just sitting around waiting while they monitored my heart. They recorded something funky and decided to admit me. I was ready to panic at that point because I really needed to be at work the next day. They poked me all night and monitored my heart. They woke me up a million times. Thankfully my sweet husband was right there with me the entire time. He even slept on the floor of the hospital room, although I don't think he really got any sleep. I wouldn't have survived without him. The next afternoon they finally did an echocardiogram and pronounced me healthy and able to go home. My heart is still flipping around a bit but I don't plan on going back to the ER any time soon! They think my heart is just reacting to all the extra hormones in my body. Hopefully everything will go back to normal when she gets here.

Almost 16 weeks
A friend of mine at work is pregnant too. She is actually due the day before me. She sent me a hilarious blog posting today about the crazy cravings of pregnancy. She has inspired me to start updating my blog on a regular basis. I want to remember this crazy hormone filled time.
Last night I had a dream that my husband cheated on me. I woke up so mad that I smacked him in the arm. It woke him up and I proceeded to tell him how mad I was at him for my dream. Lucky for me he is very understanding.
Pregnancy has taken over my entire body. I still have morning sickness although it is getting better. About a month ago I had to go in to the ER for IV fluids because of all the puking. My poor face is as broken out as it always was when I was 14. My nose is super human. I can tell you whether each and every one of my coworkers has showered or not. It's not their fault, everything just smells.
We are going in on Saturday morning to try and see what the sex of the baby is. I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas. Hopefully the baby won't have their legs crossed!

Morning sickness anyone?
So here I am at 7 weeks! Unfortunately the morning sickness, well actually all day sickness started right at week 4. I am hoping that it gets better soon. My doctor put me on phenergan which helps a bit. Even though I am puking up half of what I eat I am still managing to gain weight like crazy. Who knew pregnancy would be this fun!

Well....it's official
I am officialy pregnant. I took a test yesterday on a whim since I really am not due to start until tomorrow. I was shocked to see those two little pink lines show up. I immediately called my husband and he was shocked as well. I couldn't quite believe it so I went to the store and bought another one. A completely different brand, a digital one. That was positive as well. We are extremely excited. January 18, 2009 is the big day.
