All about Brinley

I had so much fun staying home with the kids while I was on maternity leave. We went to the aquarium and hung out with friends. I also got to take Brinley to her little gym classes. One day after little gym I pulled out the camera. These pictures just show her little personality.

Brinley is such a happy fun kid. She almost always wakes up with a smile and a hug. She asks about Wyatt as soon as she wakes up.

She is funny and goofy and sweet.



Her little smile lights up a room! She loves to tease.



She is super affectionate. She is full of hugs and kisses. She gives Wyatt a hug and a kiss before each and every nap he takes and before he goes to bed at night.



She tells us how much she loves us. She will say, guess what mom or dad, when we say what? She will answer with I love you. The other night she told me "Mom, I love you a little bit. I love Daddy sooooo much!" cracked me up!

She is full of energy and wants to play play play!



She adores her little brother. She is never mean to him, rarely jealous and genuinely enjoys being around him.



She encourages him when he tries new things and entertains him in the car.

She can make him smile and laugh by just being herself.



She is little miss diva princess attitude.



This was the night before her 3rd birthday!



She was little ticked off about the streamers in front of her door until she realized they were for her birthday!




A new train set for her birthday. She was so excited.


There were also balloons! She especially loved the Zebra balloon. She called it her Stripes balloon.


Her friend Addison's birthday is just a few days after hers. She got to go to a princess party for Addison. She was very excited about the treat bag.

She couldn't wait to get her boots off and tell me all about the party!

Addison's mommy did an awesome job on the hair!


We had her birthday party a few weeks later. She insisted that we have party hats thanks to an episode of Word World.


This picture is out of order but I can't fix it on the iPad right now. At the end of the day though, Wyatt is her best little friend.

A few more things about Brinley I don't want to forget.

-she loves horses and cowgirls

-she loves to learn, she knows her ABCs and can recognize all the letters uppercase and lowercase. She can identify the number of objects in a group up to about 10 items.

She is the sweetest kid on the planet and loves everyone. I feel so lucky to be her Mom.

Christmas 2011

I am finally getting around to posting about Christmas! Two days before Christmas Brinley got a stomach bug. It was really the first time she had been sick like that. She was miserable for about8 hours and then she was able to stop throwing up and she started feeling better. By Christmas eve she was good as new! Here are some Christmas Eve pictures.

Reading 'Twas the night before Christmas with Daddy. Unfortunately that is all the pictures I have. We woke up Christmas morning and Aaron and I had caught Brinley's bug. We were so sick we didn't even think to take a picture. I am so bummed! I feel like I ruined Wyatt's first Christmas. We had to cancel our travel plans and just took turns with the kids so we could try and feel better. We will hopefully make up for it next Christmas!

Wyatt is 6 months old

Wyatt just turned 6 months old! We just went to his well child exam yesterday and he is 16 lbs 2 ounces and 26.7 inches. Long and thin. He got stupid shots so he has been miserable yesterday and today. Wyatt is such an easy going baby. He is happy and smiley and so fun to be around. He started crawling a few weeks ago and he loves to zoom around grabbing things he shouldn't have. He adores Brinley and wants to be wherever she is. Brinley can always make him laugh. The doctor said he is a few months ahead on all his milestones. He is such a busy little guy thatvI am not surprised. Wyatt is a snugly little guy, he loves to be with his family. He loves animals, especially dogs. He will try and grab them if we let him get close. He has 4 teeth now, the two bottom ones in front and two fangs on the top. That is how Brinley's teeth came in also. He had his first ear infection a few weeks ago too. Brinley got her only infection at the same age. He has done almst everything at the same time she did. We are so happy to have Wyatt in our little family.

Yay for Fotofly!

At the end of February we went to Fotofly to have some family pictures taken. I couldn't be more happy with how they turned out. I now have lots of pictures of my family all over my desk at work. I love it and now it helps me get through the day to see my beautiful kiddos and my handsome husband. We are going back in May to have pictures taken of the extended Preslar/Petty family. I am so excited. We will be heading back to Fotofly every year for family pictures. Enjoy!
