Help Please

I have to go back to work in just about two weeks. My sweet Aaron will be staying home with my darling Brinley but we have one issue. Brinley is outright refusing to take a bottle! We have tried everything, I am out of the room completely, we have tried all different bottles and nipples and she will not budge. If anyone has any great ideas please let us know!

2 Month Checkup

Brinley had her two month check up today. Her pediatrician said she couldn't be doing any better and that he was very impressed with her. She weighs in at 12 pounds exactly which is about the 95 percentile. She is 23.8 inches long which is at the very top of the chart! Looks like she will be tall like her daddy. Her head circumference is 15.4 inches which is about the 65 percentile. She was such a good girl, she smiled and cooed at her Doctor and showed him how strong she is by standing up when he put her on her feet. He said she stands like he would expect a 4 month old baby to stand. I am so proud of her. Daddy had to hold her while she got all of her shots, Mommy cried like a big baby. She isn't feeling so hot now but she sure looks cute.

Happy St. Patty's Day!

I know I am a couple of days late but I wanted to show off Brinley's cute St. Patrick's Day shirt that Great Grammy Karen sent her.

Luck O' the Irish to ya!

Brinley is getting so strong. We put her in her Bumbo from time to time so she can practice sitting up. She is doing so great.

Check me out!

Whoa Mom! Thanks for catching me

8 Weeks old

Brinley is now 8 weeks old. She is such a joy. She is an awesome sleeper, and an awesome eater. She will go 8-9 hours at night between feedings and then she will usually go back to sleep for a couple more hours. She is so much more interactive these days, she will smile at us and laugh at us and try to imitate some of our facial expressions. I love her more everyday. She is growing so fast. Most of her newborn clothes are too short for her now. I think she weighs about 12.5 pounds now but she has her 2 month checkup next week so we will get an exact weight then. She also has to have some vaccinations which I am very worried about. I have done a lot of research and I am just not sure about all these vaccines. Anyway, here are some recent pictures of her. You may even see a rare shot of Brinley without a bow.

My Little Ballerina

Aaron bought Brinley this little outfit when she was only a few days old. I forgot about it until today. I love it so much and just had to take some pictures!

More Great Grandparents

Brinley's great grandparents on the Despain side came into town the other day and stopped by to see her. This time I was smart enough to snap a couple of pictures of them holding her. We love seeing Grandma and Grandpa Despain and we just wish that they would have stayed in town a little bit longer. Aaron was bummed that he didn't get to see them. We were grateful that they brought Brinley's great-great-Aunt Lorna to see Brinley as well. Please come back and see us again soon, and stay a while!

URGENT UPDATE!

I have recently found out that I may not be a video game nerd after all. Apparently you have to play the game on a difficult setting and not the easiest setting. This just makes me a LOSER! I am sorry to disappoint all of my fans..... but you are all losers too. I did not even make it four minutes on the first board in difficult setting. So what did I learn from this important lesson.... I should just stick to the drums, Bon Jovi.. Rock Band baby YA.

Many thanks!

Well the time is come, Aaron is officialy a video game nerd! Within two solid days of playing, I have beaten the C.O.D 4 game. There are so many people I would like to thank, first I would like to thank Grandpa J.C. Petty and Grandma Karen Petty for buying the game, Brinley for being so damn cute and last but most important Amber for sitting by my side for hours and yelling GRENADE, GRENADE, RUN! Thanks again babe!

Whew what a fun weekend!

This weekend Brinley's great grandparents on the Petty side came to visit Brinley and her cousin Kennady. I guess they came to see all of us but mostly the two great grandbabies. They brought presents and bought lots more when they were here. Grammy bought Kennady and Brinley these adorable hats. We put them in matching outfits with the hats on in the hopes of having a cute photo shoot with both babies (Kennady is 10 months old). Brinley was having none of it. She wasn't in the mood to have her picture taken, she just wanted to be held while she slept. So here are some pictures of the girls in their cute hats just not of the girls together...
